This concert was the first production for the lyric singer and performer Emilie Daoust-Versailles dit Martin. The program for the evening travelled across the music of the 20th century in three tableaux. The first started at the beginning of the century in the world of the German expressionism with extracts from Pierrot Lunaire op. 21 composed by Arnold Schoenberg. The evening continued with Satires op. 109 from the Soviet composer Dmitri Shostakovich with the arrangements for piano, strings, and woodwinds done by Aleksey Shegolev. The third part carried us into the world of Kurt Weill, where the pieces were also arranged by Shegolev.
